Marie Jacquot is Chief Conductor of the Royal Danish Theatre Copenhagen, where she conducts productions of

Manfred Trojahn's Orest, Gounod's Faust, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, and Puccini's Trittico, as well as concerts of the Royal Danish Orchestra, considered the oldest orchestra in the world. She is also Principal Guest Conductor of the Wiener Symphoniker, with whom she performs in concerts at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Vienna Musikverein, the Bregenz Festival, and on tour. From 2026/27, she will be Chief Conductor of the WDR Symphony Orchestra.

The 2025/26 season took Marie Jacquot first to London, where she celebrated her successful debut at the BBC

Proms with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. She also gives her debuts at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden (The Magic Flute), as well as with Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Filarmonica della Scala, and Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich in the current season. Re-invitations take her to the Staatskapelle Dresden, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Semperoper Dresden, where she conducts a new production of Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites. Her concerts with the Wiener Symphoniker feature works by Beethoven, Sibelius, Poulenc, Bruckner, and Stravinsky, while she performs works by Handel, Mendelssohn, Bruckner, and Tjørgensen with the WDR Symphony Orchestra. At the Royal Danish Theatre, she conducts the premiere of Der Rosenkavalier, among other works.

Marie Jacquot is in high demand as a guest conductor, both in opera and concert. Debuts and re-invitations have taken her to the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Münchner Philharmoniker, DSO Berlin, Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic,

Hamburger Philharmoniker, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Orchestre National de

France, Orchestre National du Capitôle de Toulouse, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Detroit Symphony,

Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and – in the summer of 2025 – the Cleveland

Orchestra.

Jacquot has conducted productions at the Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Berlin (world-premiere of Marc-André Dalbavie’s Melancholy of Resistance), Oper Frankfurt (Alberic Magnard’s „Guercœur“), Staatsoper Stuttgart, Komische Oper Berlin, Opéra National du Rhin Strasbourg, Flemish Opera Antwerp/Gent, and the Opéra National de Lorraine in Nancy.

After studying trombone in Paris, Marie Jacquot studied conducting in Vienna and Weimar, she held a scholarship of the German Music Council. In 2016, she was named assistant to Kirill Petrenko at the Bavarian State Opera for the world premiere of Miroslav Srnka's South Pole and subsequently conducted two productions at the Munich Opera Festival. Between 2016 and 2019, Marie Jacquot was First Kapellmeister and Deputy General Music Director in Würzburg. From 2019 to 2022, she was Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg.

She has been awarded the 2019 “Ernst Schuch Prize” in 2019, and the 2024 palm “Révélation / Chef d'orchestre”

at the 31st “Victoires de la Musique Classique”.
